ShieldSignup (“we”, “us”) provides a signup risk assessment API. This page summarizes how we handle data. It is a working summary for product transparency; contact us if you need a signed DPA or subprocessors list for your procurement process.
What we process
- Assessment inputs you send to
POST /v1/assess— typically email address and, when provided, IP address and optional session identifiers. - Account data for dashboard users — email for magic-link auth, API keys, billing identifiers via Stripe, and usage metrics.
Why we process it
We process assessment signals solely to return a risk verdict, score, and reason codes; to operate abuse detection; and to provide your team with dashboard history and billing. We do not sell personal data.
Retention
Assessment records are retained as needed to power your dashboard, fraud investigation, and plan limits. Account deletion removes associated portal data according to our product deletion flow. Contact support for retention details for your plan.
