Free, Starter, and Pro are self-serve from the dashboard (no credit card required for Free). Business is sales-assisted.

There is no pay-as-you-go overage. When the monthly assessment quota is reached, `POST /v1/assess` returns `429` with error code `quota_exceeded` until you upgrade or the quota resets at the start of the next UTC month. Per-second burst limits are enforced separately (`rate_limit` on `429`).

## Business

For teams that need higher volume, higher burst capacity, or priority support, ShieldSignup offers a Business plan with custom pricing.

- **1,000,000 assessments/mo** and **200 requests/sec** as the documented Business defaults (contracts may vary).
- Priority support per your contract.
